I'm very interested in Evil Within. I need a good horror game. RE has all but turned to cr@p, Silent Hill was ruined by trying to follow the movies instead of the movies following the games and Alan Wake was abandoned for whatever reason. Give me something dark, horrifying and gruesome. Pressure and time, lots of pressure and time. So glad this is going to be on the PC. With this "War of Exclusives" taking place as I expected years ago when the term exclusive was really brought into being in the industry, we the gamers are losing. I've had to give up buying an Xbox One, while I will most likely get a Ps4, I really want to play TRUE next gen games. X1 and Ps4 are cute, but realistically the PC already has more horsepower and will quickly surpass these consoles on an un-deniable level within the next year or so. Personally I already have more ram and a more powerful gfx card in my current PC, and my CPU has half as many CPU cores but is more than TWICE as fast per core. Exclusives are going to hurt us all as gamers, there are some really interesting IPs coming to the X1, but I refuse to buy one, so I just have to cross my fingers with things like Evil Within that they won't go exclusive.
So let me get this right. The PS4 can play PS3 games through some sought of cloud service, but you can't use your original :physical copy. Sounds good too me. Me I say because I don't own any PS3 games, but say if I did own a PS3 and a dozen or so games, would that meen that I would have too pay AGAIN for the digital copy ???????????
"They beat us to the bomb, NO ONE KNOWS HOW". Germans were in fact only two years behind the USA in its development and many US scientists were actually germans who defected. If Einstein remained in Germany, it could easily have been the other way around.
Just a small thing but why the consistent PC ignorance in your E3 announcements? It isn't actually a specific console event; the focus is more on just the new games themselves- and a fair number of the 'next-gen' will be on PC. Even then on the subtitle you manage to put PC last.
The Evil Within is shaping up to be the scariest game I'll play.. It's going to take a lot to beat the original Silent Hill, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis & Dead Space.. All scary for different reasons, but TEW just looks equally as good
@keldarironfist YYEEESSSS. Please, don't ever drop this keldar. I've been talking about M$ prepping us to rape our consumer rights from us for awhile now and I just keep getting these unbelievable responses of denial. It's refreshing to know at least ONE other person doesn't trust M$ with their personal well being, good to know one person doesn't put their faith in M$ as some sort of 'trust worthy' provider.
@whitewarriar75 I doubt the Cloud service will be paying game by game. More likely a subscription that gets you access to many games. You will have to pay again to play your PS3 or 360 games on the new consoles. There's no word on when MS will be able to let you play them though, if at all.
@spindie People like you are the entire reason that publishers cram unnecessary MP modes into great SP games that clearly don't need them. You already have BF and COD, why must everything else conform to the same formula?
@theend3r German were actually ahead of America in the bomb development, but they couldn't manufacturer it, because their heavy water isn't right, it turns out the Czech factory that supplied German with the stuff deliberately sabotaged. German never did find out why their heavy water doesn't work the way it should. I guess the lesson here is don't outsource the production of your super weapon.
@willzihang PC is the platform where games sell the least. I own a gaming laptop but I still prefer to play on my PS3 because it's just too damn easy to put the disc and play, rather than have to worry about settings and so on. Plus, there are very few PC exclusive games worth mentioning... I'll be playing TLOU and other great games on my PS3 until Rome 2 hits. Then I just know I'll be losing too many hours of sleep. That thing is so damn addicting.. ("Just one more turn...")
@willzihang Gamespot is more tailored for the console gamers amongst us, if you want pure unadulterated PC content then goto PC GAMER. But as i have an interest in all games (even though my machine of choice is PC) I read a lot of articles on here. The only annoyance for me is Gamespots bad habit of linking PC versions of games that don't exist such as : http://uk.gamespot.com/yaiba-ninja-gaiden-z/
@willzihang Sorry... But from what i have seen in this E3 i can only see 2 winners... PS3 and PC. Beyond Two Souls, Killer is Dead, Metal Gear Solid 5, Rain and GTA 5 for the first, almost every other good game on PC. :)
And it's all Microsoft's fault. I WAS an Xbox fan, and if they just hadn't decided to be a bunch of totalitarian communist dictatorship style idiots, I would've remained an Xbox fan in the PS4 and Xbox 720 Generation.
They COULD have just made a x86 based console with 8 GB of Ram and a Blu-ray drive and kept everything else the same. All they had to do to be a big contender next-gen was to do that and then say "Sorry for the lack of backwards compatability" then say something like, "Hey guess what, X-box live gold is now only $5 a month whether you pay month by month or buy a year all at once."
If they just hadn't gone off the wall with greed they would've kept their damn X-box fans. Good gravy there is now no reason for me to even consider a $500 X-box "One" when I could just upgrade my gaming PC or just build a new one. Less restrictions, more power and flexibility, cheaper games, and full backwards compatability with old PC titles. Wow, I have Windows 7, can I run Windows XP games? The answer is YES.
@ShipwreckX@Vividnightmare My PC cost me 800. Yeah, a little more than an X1, but I get tons of free content on it. Have totally free reign of what I do with my PC. I don't have to have a single feature on my PC that I don't want, hence I still have windows 7 and wont be buying windows 8. I'm not going to pay a company just so they can give me limitations on what I'm allowed to do or how I"m allowed to be entertained. I'll pay the bit extra to have my freedoms intact. And for those not able to afford one, I get it. Just don't sacrifice our rights as people by buying into what you can afford, learn to say no, learn there are things more important than toys. It sucks, I know. I wont be getting a X1 and I really want some of their games they're show casing, but I know buying into that console will cause way more trouble for people as a whole than it's worth to my personal entertainment.
@unreal101@spindie You're 100% right. Im sick of this pointless MP shooting for stats. Pressure for MP in games kills Singleplayer. For Example : MOH - Warfighter. EA wanted so bad to deliver a better MP shooter than COD that they messed up entire campaign resulting in shallow story and stupid missions like the car chase or sniping a pirate (btw. how long was the mission ? 1 minute WTF ?!?!?!?!?!?). Example 2 : COD :Black Ops 2....although this is a solid SP game ...what everyone wanted from the start ? ZOMBIES....!!!!!! ....MP zombies everywhere. L4Dead, Dead Rising and so on ... all of them pontless and stupid as fuck survival mode shooting galleries.
@unreal101@spindie Precisely what unreal101 said. Some games benefit greatly from multiplayer, some games depend on it, some games manage to weasel it in in a thoughtful manner, but there are also many games that absolutely do not need it and in fact detriment from the game (Bioshock 2...I'm looking at you...).
"Good gravy there is now no reason for me to even consider a $500 X-box "One" when I could just upgrade my gaming PC or just build a new one"
You can make that same argument for every console ever made. People don't buy consoles because of their specs. Unless, of course, they are screwy and don't realize that the next-gen consoles have already been surpassed by PCs before they even hit the market. People mostly buy consoles because they are convenient and because they tend to have some enticing exclusives. Believe it or not, owning an "all-in-one" living room device like the XB1 is actually appealing to some people, myself included.
As for the whole "communist" comment, isn't it the mob of raging haters flocking to the PS4 that is more akin to the Communist mentality? All for one! All for Sony! Viva la PS4! You're obviously stupid if you want an Xbox One! Bleh! Seriously, if those are the people "abandoning" Microsoft, I say good riddance. Hopefully that means there will be that fewer people constantly spamming f and n bombs on Xbox Live because hey, if they're this vocal on the internet, I can only assume they are when they've got a mic in front of their face.
@arc_salvo@Darthtc I am excited for the Xbone. I love the new Xbox because it literally offers more than gaming. That is why I am considering it over PS4. I believe that what Microsoft is doing is the future.
@Bowser05@unreal101@spindie Even FEAR 2, Spec Ops The line and Dead Space 2 suffered as a whole package because of them. Spec Ops and DS2 were worth for their SP alone, but FEAR 2 wasn't that lucky. I hope spindie realizes his small mided point of view of the matter hurt also his/her MP experiences, because... who wants an imperfect SP and lackuster MP for their money, or viceversa.
