New Warcraft III unit

Blizzard has updated its Web site with information on the footman, a unit from the latest game in the popular Warcraft series. Since the human forces have been devastated by years of war between former alliance nations, citizens of Azeroth joined the ranks of the human army to help fight any possible threats. The footmen represent the lower echelon of the human force, so they're not quite as powerful as other human units.

Warcraft III is Blizzard's first full 3D real-time strategy game, and it features four playable factions, each with its own distinct units and abilities. It's currently scheduled for release at the end of the year. For more information on Warcraft III, take a look at our extensive coverage .
