A new behind-the-scenes featurette for Suicide Squad, the upcoming movie that places some of DC Comics' most notorious villains on a team together, has been released. The video, which comes by way of Entertainment Tonight, features the actors and actresses playing Deadshot, Joker, Enchantress, Amanda Waller, and Harley Quinn talking about their characters.

"There's a part of him that Deadshot is thinking, 'Maybe I might have made a wrong turn or two,' in his life," says Will Smith, who is portraying crackshot sniper Deadshot. Cara Delevigne, who is the powerful and mysterious Enchantress, celebrates the prominence of power female characters in the movie.

"I don't really remember seeing a movie where the women have got such important roles, they are always the sidekick or love interest. I remember reading [Suicide Squad's script" and thinking, 'Oh my god the girls have the best lines,'"she says.

Watch the video below to also see Viola Davis, Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie talk about their characters.

Last year, Will Smith revealed that despite working with Leto for months, he had never spoken to the actor out-of-character. "I've never actually met Jared Leto," Smith said in an interview. "We worked together for six months and we've never exchanged a word outside of 'Action!' and 'Cut!' I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be 'Hey, Jared. What's up?' He was all in on the Joker."

Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer, who wrote the Oscar-winning Training Day and directed Fury and End of Watch. The movie also stars Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, and Jay Hernandez, and Ben Affleck will make a cameo appearance as Batman.

Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters on August 5. According to a recent report, the film could pull in as much as $140 in the US for its opening, which would set a new August record. It also has potential to be the biggest opening for a Will Smith movie. Smith's current best-performer is 2007's I Am Legend, which made $77.2 million in the US for its debut weekend.
