LucasArts and Sony Online have updated the official Star Wars Galaxies Web site with a set of new 3D screenshots. The new screens show off some of the character models that will appear in the upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game, including the female Trandoshan and the female Mon Calamari. The 3D screenshots provide a 360-degree view around the characters, and they require a Quicktime plug-in to view.

Star Wars Galaxies was recently awarded GameSpot's Best Game of E3 2001. It is in development at Verant Interactive, the studio that created the popular online role-playing game EverQuest, and it is scheduled for release in 2002.
