LucasArts has released a new screenshot from its upcoming real-time strategy game, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. The new screenshot shows off some of the units and environments that will appear in the game, which uses the game engine used in Microsoft's Age of Empires II.
In the game, players will assume control of one of six factions--the Galactic Empire, the Rebel Alliance, the Wookiees, the Gungans, the Royal Naboo, and the Trade Federation--vying for control of the galaxy. Combat will take place both in the air and on the ground, and it will take place in a variety of locations, such as on interstellar asteroids and in submerged cities. The game will feature a variety of combat units such as bounty hunters, Jedi Knights, stormtroopers, X-Wings, AT-ATs, snowspeeders, and droids.
Star Wars Galactic Battleground is scheduled for release this winter. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
