With the Shin Megami Tensei series celebrating its 25th anniversary, Atlus announced in January that it would be bringing new games to both Switch and 3DS. It's now revealed the latter project, which is called Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey.

Deep Strange Journey will feature the introduction of a mysterious new character named Alex, a new ending path, new artwork, and more, according to a translation by Gematsu. More details will be shared in this week's issue of Japanese publication Famitsu.

According to its official website, Deep Strange Journey is due out this fall in Japan. There's not yet any word regarding a release internationally, which is also true of the "new HD title" coming to Switch.

In January, Atlus said of the Switch game, "Atlus USA currently has no information about a localization for this title but wanted to present the details from the Japanese reveal of this title to the western market. A formal announcement will be made later for this title if a localization gets confirmed."
