New "Sea Green" 2DS revealed -- What do you think?

New color option will be available June 6 for the standard $130.

Nintendo announced today that it will launch a new "Sea Green" 2DS on June 6. The new color option will be available in stores for the standard $130.

As you can see in the image above, the new "Sea Green" 2DS has a white front and back, and features a sea green-colored directional pad, face buttons, and stylus. It joins the red and blue 2DS systems that are currently available. A special "Peach Pink" version is available exclusively at GameStop.

Nintendo launched the 2DS in October 2013 alongside Pokemon X/Y. The system plays all Nintendo 3DS games and is backwards compatible with Nintendo DS titles.

Do you like the new Sea Green 2DS? Let us know in the comments below!

I would have preferred a lime green, this one's a little too blue for me... But I still like it, looks classier than the other 2DS colours.

Pretty cute. I'd love to see some more interesting color variations such as grey and fluro orange. Or perhaps a dull red and charcoal grey. You know, something a bit quirky and retro looking. The white colour scheme get's a bit daggy looking in my opinion.

Two screens !!!! i still think this concept do not contribute in nothing!!!!

Looks good, but I wish they just make the bottom screen the same size as the top as that is all one screen under there. The Japanese 3DS have the bottom being the same size and then they can also turn it on it's side.

Actually, it looks *much* better than the black-and-red and black-and-blue versions. I thought there was no way to make a 2DS to look nice, this color change proves me wrong. I believe a light gray and purple version (SNES inspired) would also look great.

Hideous color, hideous design.

Nice color but most people prefer the XL systems and Nintendo should make it for the XL.

There is something really nostalgic about that color scheme.  I do not really have any reason to buy one though.  I have never been one of those people who collect different colors of Nintendo handhelds.

I like the colour, even though I don't like portable ''consoles''

Well, it's official, Nintendo is guaranteed to turn a profit in 2014-15.  Who knew they only needed to sea green to make it happen?

We won't give you your Orange 2DS or Purple 3DS XL, but have these other horrible colors that you can pick up as leftovers when all the other colors are taken and your store refuses to restock until they sell more of them!

Geez why don't they just let people custom order 3ds/2ds units instead of wasting time manufacturing, packaging, and distributing a bunch of random colors? It's like they're so bankrupt of ideas all they can do is give their handhelds a paintjob and hope nobody notices they're releasing games too slow.

Nice, but I want a golden brown 2DS. Then I'd look like I'm actually playing on a piece of toast.

For a 2DS I like it.  I wouldn't give up stereo speakers and a clamshell design that protects the screen while not in use though.  I do like that the screens are the correct (or original) size.  Everything looks nice and sharp unlike the larger XL versions.

I'll stick with my original 3DS for now.

Will this sea green colour have people seeing green when they see others playing on it? Eh? Eh???

Horrible and why is this color needed?  I am deeply concerned with Nintendo's decision making process.  Deeply concerned.  At least Mario Kart 8 is almost here.

@gajbutler  If the Japanese 3DS looked any different, games would have to be optimized for two different screen resolutions on the bottom and Nintendo would not do that. Sounds like you heard a playground rumor.

Luckily for nintendo and their handhelds, they don't have to.

@poptart28 It's really just the way the 2ds looks, I like all the other DSs but the 2ds just looks terrible.

Or maybe because we have lives and can't devote every waking hour to playing videogames. I honestly do wonder where working people get the time to play through dozens of videogames a month whereas I have trouble finishing up to 2 games a month.
