Electronic Arts has released a new group of screenshots from its upcoming golf resort management game, Sid Meier's SimGolf. The new screens show off some of the different terrain types, structures, and obstacles that players will be able to use in their golf courses and resorts. They also show some of the game's interface.

SimGolf is being developed by both Sid Meier, creator of the popular Civilization turn-based strategy game series, and Will Wright, the creator of the SimCity city management game series and the popular virtual life game The Sims. Players will design, build, and manage their own golf resort in one of 16 different locations around the world. The goal is to attract as many good golfers as possible in order to generate more money, which can be used to add improvements to the resort.

Sid Meier's SimGolf is in development at Firaxis, and it is scheduled for release in October. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
