New Screens: MechCommander 2

Microsoft sent over a group of screenshots of MechCommander 2, which officially went gold yesterday. These new shots highlight the different types of battles player will encounter in the game, which can range from a large assault on a base to a battle in the water.

MechCommander 2 is a real-time strategy game set within the Battletech universe, and unlike its predecessor, it has a full 3D engine that supports various types of special effects. It even influences gameplay by letting players take the tactical advantage by moving their mechs to higher ground. Each mech also has unique strengths and weaknesses, adding another strong strategic element to the game.
