New screens: JumpGate
Take a look at 3DO's upcoming massively multiplayer space simulation in development at NetDevil.
3DO visited the GameSpot offices today and brought by a playable build of its upcoming online space sim, JumpGate, along with a new group of screenshots. The new screenshots show off some of the game's ships, space stations, and outer space environments. In the game, players control one of several types of spacecraft, and they can engage in mining, trade, and combat in a persistent online universe with thousands of other players. In addition, players will be able to work alone or as part of a squad, and they can customize their spacecraft with upgraded weapons, engines, armor, and other features.
JumpGate is in development at Colorado-based NetDevil, and it is scheduled for release near the end of the year. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game, and stay tuned for an in-depth preview coming soon.
