Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has announced that he's preparing a new Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain gameplay video that will be distributed next week during Gamescom. The video will show off a sprawling Mother Base, and we've also learned that Snake is getting a new, blue bionic arm.

Dualshockers translated Kojima's tweet about the new Mother Base location, which you can see below. Kojima said the new gameplay video will showcase "the growth of the Mother Base over time." The video will also reveal some new online gameplay footage. It certainly looks large.

Meanwhile, another tweet from Kojima shows a new bionic arm for a character that appears to be Snake. The arm features "Wisp" printed on it, in what appears to be a reference to Konami's Zone of the Enders series. In previously released artwork for The Phantom Pain, Snake had a red bionic arm.

The Phantom Pain will be playable next week at Gamescom, marking the first time the stealth-action game will be available for the public to try.

According to GameSpot's sources, Kojima will leave Konami after the game ships on September 1. Just recently, a voice actor for the series claimed that the game's developer, Kojima Productions, had disbanded.
