THQ has sent over a handful of new screenshots from WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It for the Sony PlayStation 2. This latest SmackDown! game maintains the general gameplay feel and the authentic TV-style presentation of the popular series. In the game, ringside commentary is provided by Sunday Night Heat announcers Michael Cole and Tazz, and a deeper, more complex storyline will attempt to further immerse the player in the WWF soap opera. Wrestlers in the game will have their own unique entrances, along with their real-life theme music. For example, as seen in one of the screenshots, The Undertaker will ride in on his custom Harley Davidson.
WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It will feature a variety of gameplay modes and more than 60 different match types. Additionally, more than 30 WWF Superstars, including The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Lita, Kain, Kurt Angle, and Kane, will be featured in the game.
The game is being developed by Japanese firm Yukes, which worked on the previous games in the SmackDown! series and other games such as Sword of Berserk and the upcoming Eve of Extinction. WWF SmackDown! Just Bring It will be released this fall for the PlayStation 2. THQ will also release WWF Raw is War this fall for the Microsoft Xbox.
