New media: NHL Hitz 2002 Xbox

Midway has released a new batch of screenshots from NHL Hitz 2002 for the Microsoft Xbox. The game is a natural extension of Midway's popular NFL Blitz series and as such features over-the-top checks, a relatively complex fighting system, and an outrageous array of moves. The Xbox version, from our past experience with the game, is slightly more impressive visually than the PlayStation 2 and GameCube versions. For example, in the Xbox game, all of the players on the ice cast real-time shadows, and their full reflections can be seen on the shimmering ice.

NHL Hitz 2002 is currently on track to be released alongside the launch of the Xbox in November. GameSpot will have more in the coming weeks.
