New media: NBA Street

Electronic Arts releases several new screenshots from its street-ball game.

Comments

Electronic Arts has officially announced NBA Street for the Sony PlayStation 2 and released a handful of new screenshots from the game. The screens show several NBA players, including Marcus Camby of the New York Knicks and former NBA superstar Michael Jordan. NBA Street will feature both authentic and fictional street courts, as well as true-to-life NBA players and legendary street-ball players.

"NBA Street is going to be like nothing ever seen in arcade sports games," said NBA Street producer Wil Mozell. "Street ball is more than a game, it's a culture. NBA Street is going to translate this culture onto the PlayStation 2 with an array of sick dribbling moves, high-flying dunks, and in-your-face blocks where attitude and one-upping your opponent not only wins games, but also elevates your status as king of the streets."

NBA Street for the PS2 will be released this spring.
