New media: Mario Advance
Nintendo releases new screenshots of Mario Advance for the Game Boy Advance.
Nintendo has released new screenshots from Mario Advance for the Game Boy Advance. Mario Advance is a remake of Super Mario Bros. 2, which originally appeared on the NES in 1988. Mario Advance includes a multiplayer mode for up to four players through the use of the Game Boy Advance's linking capabilities. The four-player mode allows players to compete in levels based on the original Mario Bros. game and contains two modes--battle and classic. The battle mode pits players against one another while the classic mode is a cooperative quest.
Mario Advance has not been officially announced for the North American market. It's likely that it will be completed in time for the North American launch of Game Boy Advance in June.
