GameSpot has received a new trailer from Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the Sony PlayStation 2. The game, which is being developed by Snowblind Studios, introduces a new player-friendly gameplay scheme to the series. However, that's not the end of the differences between the PC products and the PS2 game. Aside from the fact that the game takes place in Forgotten Realms and more specifically in the town of Baldur's Gate, it has nothing in common with the plot in the previous games. The game includes 50 levels, split up into three acts. The swamp area is shown in the video.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance will be released later this year for the PS2.
