New media: Armored Core 2: Another Age

GameSpot has new media from and information on Armored Core 2: Another Age. This network-compatible version of AC2 has currently been confirmed only for the Japanese PlayStation 2, and it uses the PS2 modem announced in that territory for online battles. The game also includes new levels, 100 missions, and more parts for customizing your mechs. The story of Another Age picks up several years after the conclusion of Armored Core 2. The Mars colonies are in turmoil once again, as the earth governments are battling for real estate on Mars with the major corporations. To add to the chaos, colonists living in the underground cities have left their habitats and are responsible for several small-scale armed uprisings.

Armored Core 2: Another Age is priced at 6,800 yen ($58) and is scheduled for a spring release in Japan. No word yet on a North American release.
