The trailer coincides with the Jump Festa event in Japan and highlights both of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts projects.
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 was first announced in September, bewildering many with its odd name (even by Kingdom Hearts standards). Director Tetsuya Nomura has since explained the name factors in the numbers for several other games and, using some strange math, brings us to the number 2.8.
Kingdom Hearts III, meanwhile, was announced in 2013. It's the first game with a proper, whole number since Kingdom Hearts II in 2005. It's currently without a release date, though we do know it's coming to both PS4 and Xbox One (whereas 2.8 is PS4-only and coming in 2016).
