The next project from Left 4 Dead creator Turtle Rock Studios has been officially revealed.
The game, which runs on some form of Crytek's CryEngine, is called Evolve and it's coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam in fall 2014. The game's website teases, "the hunt will continue."
Evolve is a sci-fi multiplayer-focused shooter, according to a teaser for the project from Game Informer. In the game, a four-player crew of alien hunters take on a player-controller monster that grows in strength as matches progress. Hunters will have their own unique items and abilities, while the monster will have "devastating" attacks to use against players. Like Left 4 Dead before it, Evolve is also being built with replayability in mind.
Grand Theft Auto parent company Take-Two Interactive purchased Evolve from THQ during the company's bankruptcy auction in January 2013 for nearly $11 million.
