Blizzard has announced a new single-player Adventure for collectable card game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. As revealed on Blizzard's live stream, the Adventure is titled One Night in Karazhan and will launch from August 11. It will introduce a new wing every week over the month and add 45 new cards to the game.

As can be deduced from the name the Adventure is set in Karazhan, where players have been invited to a party hosted by Medivh. Upon arriving at the party, players find that the mage is missing and magic has gone awry in the place.

The prologue mission will be free to all players, where they will be able to play as Medivh himself. Playing this intro mission will grant each player two new cards. The entire One Night in Karazhan Adventure will be purchasable for $20 from the in-game shop. In addition, those who buy the entire Adventure in the first week will be rewarded with a special Karazhan-themed card back. Individual wings will be available for 700 gold or $7 each.

The new Adventure will come with Class Challenges with specific premade decks. Beating each class challenge grants a glimmering new One Night in Karazhan-themed class card. In addition, a more challenging Heroic Mode will also be available to those who have defeated all the bosses in a wing. Beating Heroic Mode will grant the player a One Night in Karazhan card back.

After One Night in Karazhan is released, all cards will be added to the mix in Arena for all players, regardless of whether they own the Adventure.

Blizzard teased a major Hearthstone announcement last week, with an invitation promising an "unforgettable adventure" to viewers. The stream was hosted at ChinaJoy, a conference taking place in Shanghai this week. Hearthstone's latest expansion was Whispers of the Old Gods, which was released earlier this year. As of April, the wildly successful card game had attracted 50 million players.
