New Harvest Moon, Fire Emblem dated for Oz

April dates set for new Harvest Moon and Fire Emblem games.

by

Nintendo Australia updated its release schedule for Wii games today, but those waiting for Super Smash Bros Brawl need not get too excited. The highly anticipated game still has no confirmed Australian release day, but Nintendo did put dates on two of its other franchise installments.

Harvest Moon: Magical Melody for the Wii is due for local release on April 3, whereas the next game in the Fire Emblem series--Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn for the Wii--is slated for April 10. Harvest Moon: Magical Melody was originally a GameCube game that was released in Japan and the US in 2006, but unfortunately never made it to Australia or Europe. The Wii version of the game will use the Wii Remote's unique capabilities to require players to do things such as use the remote as they would a real farm tool.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is the latest entry in the fantasy-themed turn-based series, and puts players in command of the Dawn Brigade in numerous battles.

Nintendo release schedule for Australia = add 1 year to releases in Japan or America. I guess our English language in Australia is a great deal harder to convert than the English language for Americans. Keep up the great slowness Nintendo.

YUNGlink: Read the article again and you'll get the point. Magical Melody was never released in Europe and Australia at all, so the people getting it this time have never had the option of playing it on the Gamecube (you can't play US imports on an unmodified PAL Gamecube). The US isn't getting the new Wii edition at all, and unmodified US Wii consoles won't play it, so only the serious import gamers will ever have the option of playing both versions.

I really don't see the point in recreating Magical Melody just so we can use the Wii controls, I already have it for the Gamecube...

Funny. Just not to long ago I hooked up an old N64 and played the one harvest moon whatever it's called. What a bunch of bull****! I mean , why dont I just turn off the TV and do half that crap in real life? What a complete waste of time!

theclaw135, the only people that say Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn are just people that are too stupid to beat the game, cuz it's honestly not that hard compared to other Fire Emblems. Sure, it may be a BIT harder, but anyone that has finished an FE game before and understand its game mechanics won't have too much trouble. It's obvious that whoever reviewed it for Gamespot was a n00b who was too stupid to strategize and rushed in with his troops and got them all killed. Take a look for reviews by Electronic Gaming Monthly and 1up...they're much better reviewers anyway.

@theclaw135 Did you even play it or did you just listen to the reviews? I have it. Sure its a hard game but thats what makes it fun to beat it would be no fun if games were EASY and it's a strat. game for the hardcore, like me, it was a good challenge to beat on hard.

Expect Brawl in July with the way Nintendo keeps screwing us.

November 10? Why bother? Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is just too hard, and a terrible cash-in sequel anyway. They shoehorned it in using one or two pointless sentences at the VERY end of Path of Radiance.
