New Halo Web site launched
Microsoft's upcoming sci-fi shooter, which is still coming to the PC, gets a new official Web site.
Microsoft has launched a new official Web site for its upcoming sci-fi shooter, Halo. The new site, which requires Macromedia's Flash, contains information about the game's features and storyline, a gallery of screenshots, and video trailers for the game.
One part of the game's description on the Web site states, "Coming soon, only on the Xbox video game system." According to a Microsoft spokesperson, that statement is meant to clarify that the game is not coming to any other console systems. When asked if a PC version of the game is still planned, the spokesperson said, "A PC version of Halo will be released after the Xbox version, but no official release date has been announced."
Halo is in development at Bungie Software, and it is scheduled for release on the Microsoft Xbox in November. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the PC and PC versions of the game, and visit the new official Halo Web site.
