A decade after the release of the first Family Guy movie, a follow-up might now be in the works. Series creator Seth MacFarlane provided a hint on Twitter this week, saying fans can expect news "soon."

Here's how the exchange played out.

Question: "When are you going to stop fannying around and actually do a Family Guy movie? ??

MacFarlane: "Soon. Soon."

That's all MacFarlane had to say on the subject, but it's not the first time talk about a new movie has come up. Back at San Diego Comic-Con 2014, Family Guy director and producer Peter Shin said (via Deadline) that work began on a new movie, but it was put on hold as MacFarlane took time to direct Ted 2.

The first Family Guy movie, Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, saw a straight-to-DVD release in 2005. It was later split into three episodes that aired on TV the following year. The plot of that movie involved Stewie embarking on a trek to find a man he thinks is his real father.

There is no word yet on what the story would be for the next Family Guy movie or if this one will actually come to theaters. The latest Family Guy game is The Quest for Stuff, a free-to-play, Simpsons: Tapped Out-style title that continues to get new content updates.

Family Guy the TV show is now in its 14th season.
