New details for Dark Arena on the Game Boy Advance
Yet another first-person shooter is headed to Nintendo's next-generation handheld courtesy of Majesco.
Majesco has released new details concerning its first-person shooter for the Game Boy Advance, Dark Arena. Dark Arena takes place in the year 2146 where the fictional United Arms Organization has just completed training its elite class. Genetically engineered opponents used in training have taken over the facilities and it's the player's job to reclaim it.
Dark Arena features texture-mapped 3D environments and characters, 20 levels, multiple enemies, six weapons, a multiplayer deathmatch mode, lighting effects, prerendered FMV sequences, and destructible environments.
Dark Arena is currently scheduled for North American release on the Game Boy Advance in fall 2001.
