Netamin Corporation has announced that it plans to open an office in Taiwan to complement its office in Korea, which is already helping develop the company's upcoming online sports game, Ultimate Baseball Online. The Taiwan office will be the headquarters for Netamin Asia, which will host an Ultimate Baseball Online league covering China, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan.

"We received many enthusiastic e-mails from gamers in Taiwan as soon as the UBO minigames were released in November 2002, many of whom have since participated in our alpha testing," said Gabriel Law, producer of Ultimate Baseball Online. "After seeing the huge demand for UBO, coupled with the enormous popularity of baseball in many Asian countries, we determined that localization costs would be well worth it."

Ultimate Baseball Online is scheduled to launch in the US later this year. For more details, check out our previous coverage of the game.
