NES Classic Back in Stock at Nintendo's NYC Store Today
Probably a good idea to get there early.
With just a few days to go before Christmas, those looking for a NES Classic Edition and haven't found one yet, time is running out if you want it for the holiday. If you live in New York City or somewhere close and have some free time today, you might have a chance to get your hands on the hard-to-find system.
Nintendo announced today that the console will be available at its New York City store, starting at 2 PM ET. The company is expecting a lot of interest, so you should show up early. Nintendo will hand out wristbands to buy the NES Classic at 1 PM ET. There is a limit of one system per person.
Nintendo also had NES Classic systems in stock at its NYC store on December 21--they sold out quickly. We'd expect a similar situation today.
Nintendo's marquee NYC store is located at 10 Rockefeller Plaza, on 48th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. Here's a map:
The $60 NES Classic Edition system launched in November and quickly sold out. Nintendo says retailers are getting new shipments all the time, but the system remains sold out almost everywhere. More than 196,000 units were sold in the US in November, according to the NPD Group.
It comes with 30 games, including some of the console's best ones such as Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, and Pac-Man.
