Before NCsoft released Guild Wars Factions earlier this year, the publisher said it planned on introducing new games for its Guild Wars series on a semiannual basis. The company is set to follow through on that, as today it announced that the third episode in the massively multiplayer online role-playing saga Nightfall would be available in stores worldwide on October 27.

Nightfall gives players a new continent to explore, two new playable professions, customizable heroes that follow players' instructions and level up, 20 new story missions, hundreds of quests, and more. The game will come in standard and collector's-edition packages, with the latter including a "making of" DVD, an art book, a soundtrack CD, a poster-sized map of the new continent, and more.

Guild Wars carries no subscription fee, and each expansion can be played on its own without the original game. For more information on Nightfall, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
