Usually when superheroes and supervillains get together, the results are city blocks leveled, death rays on the verge of decimating bustling metropolises, and lengthy commentary about an evil mastermind's plan to take over the world before someone saves the day. NCsoft is hoping that won't be the case when it brings its digital heroes and villains together later this month.

The publisher is releasing the City of Heroes Good Versus Evil Edition, which includes both City of Heroes and City of Villains, as well as all the content updates up to Issue 7: Destiny Manifest. The bundle will be released on September 29 and can be purchased for $29.99 from Wal-Mart or NCsoft's online store. The box set will also be released in the UK and Europe on the same day, with a retail price of £14.99/24.99 euros.

Also included in the deal will be exclusive in-game items such as unique costumes and powers, a bonus DVD with City of Heroes-related media, a two-sided poster, and a free month of play. After the free trial, a $15 subscription fee will cover access to both games. The subscription price in the UK will be £8.99 per month.
