At E3 this year, Natsume announced its support for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and GameCube, and now the company has secured the rights to release games based on the popular anime, titled Medabot, for those platforms. The first Medabot-licensed games will appear on the Game Boy Advance platform and will be released in summer 2002. Two versions of the game will be released, each containing exclusive characters and stages. In addition to the GBA games, the company is planning to release Medabot games for the Nintendo GameCube. The first GameCube game will arrive in early 2003.

Medabots is similar in concept to Nintendo's own Pokémon. In the game, players must customize their own robots and use them in head-to-head battles. For more on Medabot, check out the anime's official Web site. In addition to its Medabots games, Natsume is developing a new Pocky and Rocky game for the Game Boy Advance. Titled Pocky & Rocky with Becky, the game is based on the classic SNES action title.
