NASCAR Fans' Wait is Almost Over

NASCAR Racing fans rejoice - NASCAR 3 is almost upon us.

Comments

Get ready NASCAR Racing gearheads - Papyrus Design and Sierra plan to release the much-anticipated racing simulation NASCAR Racing 3 in mid-September.

NASCAR Racing 3 will feature teams and drivers from both the Winston Cup and Busch Grand National Series leagues, free Internet racing, force-feedback support, positional 3D audio, graphic resolutions of up to 1024x768, as well as a number of nifty new graphic effects.

Unfortunately, the physics engine used in Grand Prix Legends will not be used in this game, according to the company. (That engine - with its 43-car field - would have brought any PC today to a grinding halt.) Instead, Papyrus is using the physics engine from the previous games in the NASCAR series, albeit with a lot of enhancements and tweaks.
