Namco to open office in Korea

Seoul affiliate complements existing Asia-based operations in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

TOKYO--Namco announced today that it is opening a new office in Korea tomorrow, on September 1, 2004. In a statement, the company said the office will be the company's beachhead in a market where it plans significant expansion. Staff will track the latest industry movements in Korea to plan out future business strategies. This is the third office that Namco has established in an Asian country outside of Japan. Its first, Namco Enterprises Asia, was established in Hong Kong in 1977. Its China office, Shanghai Namco Ltd., was established in 1993. Both focus on the arcade business.
