Namco opens site for new PS2 Game
The company is working on what might be described as a "snowball simulator."
Namco has opened a new section on its Japanese site for a unique new game for the PlayStation 2 called Katamari Damashii. The game's title translates to "Soul of a Clump" in English. In Katamari Damashii, the player will use the two analog sticks to control a small character and roll an object through the game's field. As the object gets rolled around, it will continually become entangled with additional objects, turning into a clump of objects that gets bigger and bigger. As the clump gets bigger, the player can entangle even larger objects. Not much else is known about the game at this time.
Katamari Damashii is scheduled for release in spring 2004 in Japan.
