Mythos to Wage a Mage War

Mythos Games, the original creators of X-COM: UFO Defense (known as UFO: Enemy Unknown in Europe) and X-COM: Apocalypse, is now working on a new title - unrelated to the X-COM universe of games - called Duel: The Mage Wars.

To be published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment, Duel: The Mage Wars will pit the player against other mages who are battling for dominance in certain enchanted realms. The game will feature three-dimensional terrain, three different historic realms, 30 different spells that can be cast and created, and multiple opponents.

More information will be forthcoming in the next month or two, Virgin says. Virgin indicates it will release Duel around October of this year.
