Early this year mTw announced their return to activity after being declared bankrupt in early 2013, taking small steps to bring themselves back to the eSports scene. The EPS champions in CS:GO will be the first official players to represent the returned organization, with no indication whether other titles are currently in the sights of the age-old organization.

The team they attracted were until recently part of the Wild Fire organization, taking their first EPS title just a few weeks ago by beating both of the favorites Mousesports and Alternate in the offline play-offs. They left Wild-Fire several days ago after a year of cooperation and clearly will be looking to expand their impact on the scene under their new sponsor.

Manuel "mnL" Oberlein spoke exclusively to onGamers about joining mTw and the resulting cooperation:

After the EPS Finals, we had a lot of team offers, as MTW was knocking on our door we were very surprised. Since they were absent for so long, we really hadn't expected them to.

We are looking forward to do bootcamps and attend national aswell as international events later on. Since we're still at the beginning of the Partnership, I can't say when exactly this is going to happen.

We welcome the competition even though we are aware that numerous challenges lie ahead. Of course we know that people expect that we represent the name MTW very well, and we will, but we will not allow ourselves to come under pressure.

The line-up for the returned mTw organization holds:

  • Niclas "enkay J" Krumhorn
  • Manuel "mnL" Oberlein
  • Benjamin "qk-Mantis" Oberlein
  • Patrick '"KRAEUTERHUMPEN" Jakobi
  • Pascal "nky" Maass
