THQ has released its new skateboarding game for the Sony PlayStation, Game Boy Color, and PC platforms. The game has ten modes of play, 20 different pro boarders, licensed equipment, and music from popular artists. Its gameplay features over 60 tricks, resulting in thousands of combinations. Additionally, six multiplayer modes including battle, tag, time-trial, and bomb give skaters the opportunity to challenge their friends to skate competitions.

"MTV Sports: Skateboarding Featuring Andy Macdonald takes the skateboarding game genre in a new direction, with more skaters, bigger levels, and more game modes, including the highly popular and unique stunt mode," said Michael Rubinelli, vice president of development for THQ.

"It was an awesome experience to have been involved with the development of this game," said the game's featured athlete, Andy Macdonald. "Now everyone can bust some moves over the super kicker without risking the slams."

The PlayStation version will carry a suggested retail price of US$29.99. Check back tomorrow for a full review of the game.
