Infogrames has announced that it is developing two new PC games based on the popular Namco arcade characters Ms. Pac-Man and Dig Dug. The games are titled Ms. Pac-Man: Quest for the Golden Maze and Dig Dug: Deeper.

Ms. Pac-Man: Quest for the Golden Maze will let players once again try to keep Ms. Pac-Man alive as they run away from ghosts and try to collect special fruit that will unlock the final prize: the golden maze. The game is being designed to add more interactivity and replay value while maintaining the critical gameplay elements that made the original Ms. Pac-Man the best-selling arcade game ever.

In Dig Dug: Deeper, players must guide the hero, armed with his drill and extermination pack, through underground areas in search of gems while avoiding his enemies, the pookas and the fygars.

Ms. Pac-Man: Quest for the Golden Maze and Dig Dug: Deeper are in development at UK-based Creature Labs, and they are scheduled for release this holiday season.
