MPlayer Gets Unreal
Still waiting for Unreal? MPlayer announces that when it does come out, it will support online play.
The online game service MPlayer is adding Epic Megagames' Unreal to its lineup on the site's action channel
MPlayer boasts more than 400,000 members; the service features free Internet gameplay for such titles as Quake, Scrabble, and Spades, while a US$39.95-a-year subscription fee allows MPlayer users access to special content areas, player rankings, and tournaments.
Players in Unreal are the only survivors of a ship that has crash-landed on a mysterious planet, full of hostile reptilian creatures. Epic Megagames has not yet announced a release date for the game.
