Electronic Arts' massively multiplayer online driving game, Motor City Online, is on its way to stores. The game is based on the golden age of American muscle cars, and it lets players build, modify, and race a variety of hot rods from the 1930s through the 1970s.

Motor City Online features classic cars, stock cars, and muscle cars, and it lets players customize their cars with more than 1,000 real-life parts to give them better performance or looks. Players buy, sell, trade, and customize their cars and then take them out to race on a wide variety of tracks. To augment their weekly salary, players can earn extra money by winning pro races or betting with other drivers. The game also includes a more straightforward arcade action mode that lets players pick a car, a track, and a race and then jump right into the competition.

Motor City Online was developed by EA Seattle and it will soon arrive in stores for an approximate retail price of $39.99. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
