Following series creator Ed Boon's tease earlier this week, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on Thursday officially announced that fighting game Mortal Kombat X is indeed getting more DLC.

This new content will take the form of additional playable characters, as well as more skins and a new environment. All of this DLC will be released in the first half of 2016, though specific release dates were not announced. Warner Bros has yet to provide a list of the new characters. However, the image below--shared by Boon--offers silhouettes that tease who these characters might be. One appears to resemble Wolverine.

Warner Bros. also did not provide any information regarding pricing. The first Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat X sold for $30 and came with four fighters: Jason Voorhees, Predator, Tanya, and Tremor.

In other recent news about Mortal Kombat X, Warner Bros. has canceled the last-generation version of the game. This was in development at High Voltage Software, not NetherRealm.
