Mortal Kombat Moves to Television
After winning big on the big screen in animated form, Mortal Kombat comes back with a live-action TV show.
According to a Variety report Thursday, Mortal Kombat is headed to the small screen in syndicated form next fall. Mortal Kombat has already been seen on the big screen in two successful films and in animated form on the Fox Kids Network, but this will be the first time the game's plot and characters show up in a weekly hour-long show.
Of course, each episode will be accompanied by handfuls of Kombat action and special effects. The series will be run in syndication and produced by New Line Television and Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution.
