Bethesda Softworks has announced some of what will be included in the special edition of its upcoming fantasy role-playing game The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. The Collector's Edition will include the full Morrowind game; a music CD of the Morrowind soundtrack, which was composed by Jeremy Soule; a figurine of the ordinator, a holy guard of the dark elven temple; a full-color book containing concept sketches, drawings, and renderings from the game; and a full-color poster-sized map of the land of Morrowind.

Bethesda also announced that it will begin accepting preorders for the Collector's Edition and the regular edition of Morrowind through its Web site within the next week or so.

Morrowind is set in a medieval fantasy world inhabited by a wide range of playable races, creatures, and monsters. The game's nonlinear single-player storyline will include a variety of different quests and subquests. The game will include a complete world-building tool that will let players design, create, and use custom items, monsters, quests, and areas. For more information, take a look at our in-depth previews of the game. Morrowind is scheduled for release in spring 2002.
