Uncharted 2 fans hoping to enjoy further adventures in Naughty Dog's award-winning action game universe are in luck. Over the weekend, actress Emily Rose twittered that she was returning to work on a new project in the series. Rose plays Elena Fisher, a journalist who was series hero Nathan Drake's companion in both Uncharted and its sequel.

"Landed in LALA land yesterday and already the schedule is a buzz…. filming my first Night show today 4 #HAVEN then work on #UNCHARTED!", wrote Rose.

The comment appeared to back up rumors, initially sparked by French retailer listings, that Uncharted 3 is already in the works. However, Sony reps told gaming blog Kotaku that Rose will instead "be working with Naughty Dog on some DLC content."

As Sony did not elaborate, what exactly the aforementioned content will be is unclear. To date, there have been two DLC packs for the game. Released in April, the Uncharted 2: Siege Expansion Pack added a hectic cooperative mode and two new maps for the game's multiplayer component. For a full rundown on the Siege DLC, check out GameSpot's review or peruse the walk-through video below.

The second Uncharted 2 DLC expansion, the Sidekick Skins Pack, arrived in August but only added skins for characters to use in multiplayer mode. However, if the new DLC requires new voice work from Rose, it is likely to be more substantial and may have a narrative component of some sort.
