At Acclaim's pre-E3 sneak peek in Orlando, Fla., it was announced that the company announced that it would be adding a Nintendo 64 soccer game to its sports-game lineup. The game is said to support one to -four players and feature 32 international teams, 700 individually classed players, and eight 3D stadiums. You can also create players and assemble your own squads. It will feature four game modes: Friendly, Acclaim Sports Trophy, Knockout, League, and Knockout Ladder. The game is said to have hi rez-style graphics similar to Quarterback Club 99 and All-Star Baseball 2000. Tony Gubba, BBC sports commentator, will be lending his voice talents to the game, as will team England's former manager Terry Venables. This untitled N64 soccer game is scheduled to hit retail shelves this August.

A brief demo being shown of NBA Jam 2000 was basically NBA Jam 99 with one of the new player models standing on the court. Although the game was obviously still in it's early stages of development, Acclaim was very forthcoming with its plans for the new Jam game. "NBA Jam 2000 will be almost like two games in one," said Mike Meyers of Acclaim. The game will feature a standard five-on-five basketball game and a two-on-two arcade-style Jam mode.

Players in the game will posses their real-life counterparts' signature moves and subtle nuances. Not to mention that players will also have their faces mapped onto 3D models. TNT commentator Kevin Harlan will make play-by-play calls during the game. This year, the simulation mode will include new player models representative of players' varying sizes and heights with more than 800 new motion-capture animations. Also for those who want to get into the business side of the game, Total Team Management includes trading, drafting, signing, and releasing players, managing point cap, and trading deadlines. Look for more information in our upcoming preview of NBA Jam 2000.

South Park for the PlayStation is finally underway, and even though the version being shown was an incredibly early N64 port, it looks right on target. Unfortunately, the game will only support two players (the N64 version supports up to four), but the entire South Park cast will be included. South Park is destined to throw yellow snowballs and other miscellany at PlayStation gamers this August.
