The full schedule for the upcoming IMBATV crowd funded tournament i-league has been released. The EU/US qualifiers are schedule to start first with the teams expecting to complete their sign ups this month by August 7th.

"The organizers of i-league — is a team, that has been uniting gamers and fans from all around the world for seven years.we would like to invite you all to test yourselves and your teams in the largest tournament: i-league of IMBATV project. i-league begins with a base prizepool, but YOU decide where it ends."

Qualifiers

The European and American qualifiers will run side by side starting on August 11th to the 17th. The scheduling will most likely see a lack of top tier Western teams take part due to the fact that the post TI team shuffle is far from over.

Following shortly on from that the Korean and SEA qualifiers will kick off on August 18th to the 21st. Finally the Chinese qualifiers will start on August 22nd to the 31st.

LAN Finals

The top two teams from the EU/US qualifier, top one from Korea/SEA and the top three from the Chinese qualifiers will advance to the LAN finals which will take place on September 4th to 7th with a best of five grand finals in Shanghai, China.

The remaining spots will be taken by two Chinese teams decided by a community poll.

Prizepool

IMBATV have been using the Chinese gaming kickstarter known as Modian in order to boost their prize pool which started at a base prize pool of $100,000 RMB (~$16,000 USD) and have so far raised it to a whopping total of 1,700,000 RMB (~$275,000 USD).

70% of the final figure will be used for the prize pool and distributed in the following structure:

  • 1st - 50%
  • 2nd - 20%
  • 3rd - 10%
  • 4th - 10%
  • 5th - 2.5%
  • 6th - 2.5%
  • 7th - 2.5%
  • 8th - 2.5%
