GameSpot News has been informed that the Dallas Observer weekly will be publishing an article in its Jan. 14 edition that focuses on the internal workings at Dallas-based ION Storm.

There has been a great deal of talk regarding the fall of ION Storm, and the author of the Observer article has dug up some of the most damning information yet on ION's current CEO, Todd Porter. The article alleges that Porter fired a PR firm for placing pictures only of Romero in Rolling Stone, Porter's old position as a male stripper, posting his e-mail on the company's server, and other going-ons. The allegations are supported by interviews with ex-ION employees. While several rumors have circulated about ION's troubles and Porter's position at the center, the Observer article may help gamers fill in the cracks.

The article appeared on the Dallas Observer's Online site late Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday morning, the site will have additional documentation to support the article's findings. We've heard that ION lawyers have already contacted the Observer about the article. Stay tuned; this is guaranteed to get interesting.
