Moon Diver rising on XBL May 4

Square Enix, FeelPlus bringing side-scrolling beat-'em-up from Strider creator to Microsoft's online platform for $15.

FeelPlus scored moderate critical success on the PlayStation 3 last month with the release of its side-scrolling beat-'em-up Moon Diver. Soon, Xbox 360 gamers will also have a chance to check the game out, as Square Enix announced today that it would be bringing the downloadable title to Xbox Live on May 4 for 1,200 Microsoft points ($15).

Created by Koichi Yotsui (Strider), Moon Diver is set in the 22nd century, after a technological uprising sees all manner of inanimate objects rebelling against their makers. Amid this turmoil, an elite group of ninjas--known as Moondivers--rises up to reclaim the world for humanity.

Moon Diver features a number of gratuitous moon shots.

Moon Diver features many of the classic tropes of the side-scrolling beat-'em-up genre, including massive bosses and waves of enemies. However, it also includes modernized graphics, a leveling system, and four-player local or online co-op.

Sounds interesting, but I really don't like the 1200 point cost. 800 points and 700 megs or less is what I'm looking for.

This game came out like 3-4 weeks ago psn it already has a DLC out, Its fun for awhile but its really just a game you hop on and play like once a week its really simple, Boss's are cool though.

This game looks freaking sweet. Definitely picking it up. Would be super cool if they gave us a Strider Hiryu character to use.

Hard Corps: Uprising is better (opinion), but this is fun, because of 4 player co-op. Hard Corp just seems to be more refined.

Game looks kick ass :) Although that trailer music kinda sounds to me like a cross between Bonnie Tyler's I need a hero and Shaun McPherson's Devils never cry which i really liked the sound of A side scrolling Devil may cry-style game is welcome in my eyes

Whew. Online co-op. There's nothing worse than a game with local only play. Nothing against local. But you really should have both local and online play for games.
