The nominations for the 2014 Game Critics Awards were announced today, and 2K Games' multiplayer-focused shooter Evolve led the way with six total nods. The game is in development at Turtle Rock Studios, the team that created the critically acclaimed Left 4 Dead series. In the game, four players fight together to take down a fifth player who plays the role of a supersized monster.

Other games receiving multiple nominations include Destiny and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege with four apiece, while games netting three nominations were Alien: Isolation, Batman: Arkham Knight, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and No Man's Sky.
The full list of categories and nominations is below. Nominations were voted on by a number of industry publications, including GameSpot, IGN, Kotaku, Polygon, Joystiq, the Associated Press, and USA Today. Winners will be announced July 1.
To be eligible for consideration, games needed to be playable. The Division, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt did not meet this requirement.
