Mirror's Edge Catalyst Features Original Song From Chvrches, Listen Here
The Scottish synthpop band created the theme song for Mirror's Edge Catalyst.
Mirror's Edge Catalyst releases next month, but you can hear the game's theme song right now. Scottish synthpop band Chvrches created the song, "Warning Call," for the open-word parkour game.
The lyrics are written by singer Lauren Mayberry from protagonist Faith's perspective. Chvrches' Iain Cook says that the band was "honored to be asked to contribute" to the game's soundtrack (via Pitchfork).
"The sound of Chvrches' music resonates with the minimalist sci-fi dystopia of the Mirror's Edge world, and we feel that the song complements the drama, emotion, and empowering themes of Faith's story," Cook said in a press release.
Mirror's Edge Catalyst releases on June 7 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Its original launch date was May 24 before being delayed prior to the game's closed beta in April.
