Might and Magic IX update

GameSpot talks to 3DO about the next installment in its fantasy role-playing game series.

Comments

GameSpot spoke with a representative of 3DO briefly about the information posted on Norwegian game Web site Gibme.com concerning the upcoming fantasy role-playing game Might and Magic IX. According to 3DO, the game is still too early in development to release definite information, and most of the details in the article are still subject to change. In particular, the company representative noted that the title mentioned in the article, Might and Magic IX: Writ of Fate, is inaccurate, and while the game will use the LithTech 3D engine, the version number has yet to be determined. Might and Magic IX is in development at New World Computing, the developer that created the previous games in the Might and Magic series, and it is tentatively scheduled for release in early 2002.
