Midway ships Mortal Kombat Advance
Mortal Kombat arrives on the Game Boy Advance.
Midway Games has announced the shipment of Mortal Kombat Advance for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. Based on Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Mortal Kombat Trilogy, the game features 20 playable characters. Along with the single-player mode, players can fight head-to-head or in two-on-two battles with the Game Boy Advance link cable.
"Midway is excited about bringing the Mortal Kombat franchise to the Game Boy Advance,'' said Helene Sheeler, vice president of marketing at Midway. "Mortal Kombat has set the standard for martial arts fighting games over the years and will continue to do so on handheld systems.''
Midway is also developing a new Mortal Kombat game for console platforms.
